Formatting your data
mwcsvimport accepts standard CSV data exported from many spreadsheet application. In this example we will us an Microsoft Excel file of US states and capitals.
First open the file with Excel and choose File | Save As from the menu.

Change the Save as type: to CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv).

mwcsvimport is a wiki site owner’s tool to import data into Mediawiki. The web-based tool accepts data in CSV format and is capable of creating template based pages via the MediaWiki API. At $29, the tool is powerful yet inexpensive.
